Weekend box office prediction

Ah the weeks go by and the days grow shorter and shorter- and now the horrible realization that summer is ending and school making a comeback hits me like a bullet train.  Man that makes me sad, on the bright side Guardians of the galaxy is coming in two weeks and comic con is next week. That makes me a bit happier.

In so this doesn't become a really sad rant on my part let's get on to the predictions to the upcoming box office. My bet is on Dawn of the planet of the apes to take 1st place second week in a row due to the overwhelming response to it and nothing really that exciting opening this weekend. Don't get me wrong their are actually three movies coming out this weekend but none of them are really that big enough to dethrone Dawn, maybe the Cameron Diaz movie Sex Tape but other than that not much else. So here are my predictions for Sex Tape, Purge: Anarchy and Planes: fire and rescue.

 Sex Tape
Weekend box office: $35-$40 million
Domestic box office: $ 90- $ 110 million
International box office: $ 130- $ 160 million
World wide box office: $ 220 - $270 million

Purge: Anarchy
Weekend box office: $ 37- $ 47 million
Domestic box office: $ 60- $ 80 million
International box office: $ 75- 95 million
World wide box office: $ 135- $ 175 million

Planes: fire and rescue
Weekend box office: $10- $ 15 million
Domestic box office: $ 20- $ 40 million
International box office: $ 40- $ 60 million
World wide box office: $ 60- $ 100 million

 Box office list
1.) Dawn of the planet of the apes
2.) Sex Tape
3.) Transformers age of extinction
4.)Purge: Anarchy
5.) Tammy
6.)22 Jump street
7.) How to train your train your dragon 2
8.)Earth to Echo
9.) Maleficent
10.) Deliver us from evil

I anticipate for sex tape to be #2, because of how the reception has been from audiences to the trailers and the fact Cameron Diaz comedies tend to due very well. Purge Anarchy is the kind of movie that I see doing well in it's first weekend then completely dropping off. Planes I don't even expect it to be in the top ten because I don't think many people know it exists plus most hated the first one and many people (including I) can't comprehend how it got a sequel. So that's my predictions, tomorrow for my editorial.... Andy Serkis.
