Weekend Box office

Ah another week goes by and we come to this again. I find that whenever I talk about box office it's the article that gets the most hits. So thanks for liking this. Now this weekend the big movie that came out was Dawn of the planet of the apes. Now lets see how it and other movies did this week.

Weekend box office

1.) Dawn of the planet of the apes- $ 73 million
2.) Transformers age of extinction- $ 16.5 million
3.) Tammy- $12 million
4.) 22 jump street- $ 6.7 million
5.)  How to train your dragon 2- $ 5.8 million

6.) Earth to Echo- $ 5.5 million
7.)  Deliver us from evil- $ 4.7 million
8.) Maleficent- $ 4.1 million
9.) Begin again- $2 million
10.) Jersey boys- $2 million

Good job for Dawn of the planet of the apes, I loved that movie and glad it's doing well- so yeah we're getting a sequel Hail Caesar!  Transformers took a pretty big drop in it's third week about 55% drop, not as bad as the 74% drop last week but it's still the highest grossing movie of 2014 so far (about $752 million right now) now, so it look like we're getting a sequel. And while I did say this is the best one out of the four movies so far I am personally pretty sick of transformers and really don't want another one. Tammy and 22 jump street are both doing very well so it's a great year for comedy.

How to train your dragon 2 is doing relatively ok, it's now enough to warrant a sequel so sorry to all how to train your dragon 2 fans. I'm surprised how well Earth to Echo and Deliver us from evil are doing as I expected Earth to Echo to drop to # 10 and Deliver us from evil to be dropped out of the top ten all together. Although I am still worried about Dr. Strange as I hear Deliver us from evil was pretty bad and the same guy who directed that movie is directing Dr. Strange. Begin Again is in the top 10, don't really know much about the movie including whether it's good or bad all I know is that it stars the Hulk and Elizabeth Bennett. I am surprised at how Jersey boys is hanging in the box office, yet it seems people might be thinking twice about Clint Eastwood as this movie has gotten pretty poor reviews and it's budget is about $ 40 million and many people predict it won't cross the $ 50 million line so we might be able to say this will be one of Clint Eastwoods movie bombs.

Anyway that was this weeks box office. I have no idea what movie I might be review this weekend but most likely it would be Sex Tape as my mom would never let me see Purge: Anarchy.
