Weekend box office prediction: Ok now were getting somewhere

Ok things seem to be picking up steam finally, so hopefully we might get something interesting this week and yes this will be movie review from the actual movies this week and not from Netflix and yes their will be an editorial tomorrow (most likely a list.) This week we have four movies coming out Maze Runner (which looks decent), Walk among the tombstones (hopefully a return to form to dramatic Liam Neeson... Please?), This is where I leave you ( it doesn't look half bad to me) and Tusk (that looks really grotesque and I think I won't be catching that one.)

  The Maze Runner
Weekend box office: $45-$50 million
Domestic box office: $ 150-$180 million
International box office: $ 200-$230 million
Worldwide box office: $350-$410 million

With the mixed results of young adult movies it's hard to properly place where this will land and it will be interesting to where this places, it looks decent enough and it looks like it has a better story than most so it will be interesting.

Walk among the tomb stones
Weekend box office: $45-$55 million
Domestic box office: $110-$115
International box office: $100-$180 million
Worldwide box office: $210-$295 million

I think I'm excited the most for this because this actually seems faraway from the pay-check earning action movies Liam Neeson does nowadays and more towards old Dramatic Liam Neeson which gets me excited.

This is where I leave you
Weekend box office: $60-$65
Domestic box office: $100-$150 million
International box office: $150-$160 million
Worldwide box office: $250-$310 million

I feel this one might surprise people the most since this seems like it will actually draw money. With the likeability of Jason Bateman and Tina Fey and the rising star of Corey Stoll (although he seems like he barely has any lines in this) and Adam Driver we might actually have a winner. Plus they've had an overall good marketing campaign so at least people know it exists. Although it does seem like the type of movie to drop in it's second weekend.

Tusk
Weekend box office: $4-$7 million
Domestic box office: $15-$35 million
International box office: $10-$25 million
Worldwide box office:$25-$60 million

The trailers for this movie have turned me off completely because it just seems so... grotesque, like it seems disturbing and a partly comedy too. I think people also underestimate the power of Kevin Smith, I loved Clerks and could see the point of Chasing Amy he hasn't made a good movie in years, main stream people hardly know him and yeah he's kind of past his prime.

Box office
1.) This is where I leave you
2.) Maze Runner
3.) No Good Deed
4.) A walk among the tomb stones
5.) Dolphin Tale
6.) Guardians of the galaxy
7.) Teenage mutant ninja turtles
8.) Let's be cops
9.) Tusk
10.) If I stay

That's my weekend box office prediction and tomorrow.... Anime.
