Top five video games that can make good movies

Since I did a list on Anime and Manga's making good movies I thought I would make one on video games since I love those two. Video games are harder to adapt into movies mainly because of the whole character interaction with the player, that's what makes it interesting which I why I don't think something like Halo or Dead Space couldn't work since what makes those games get fanbases is the entertainment value in playing the game rather than the story. Here's my pick, I know some of these games might be in development for movies but here's my pick still because until World of Warcraft comes out we won't know how the video game movie landscape will pan out.

5.) Shadow of the colossus
This is probably one of the most visually stunning video games ever with a very good story attached. It's about a young man only called the wander who is trying to save a young maiden from a cursed fate by defeating all sixteen colossus. This is a very easy concept to adept and if given the right special effects team you can make a billion dollars off of the visuals alone of the colossus. I would do this before Ico because their are some things in this that set up stuff in Ico and so this would be the thing that gets people ok with the feel of the world.

4.)Portal
This would be the most difficult game to make a movie out of but the potential if tweaked is astounding. First off keep G.L.A.D.O.S the game, you can change everything else but keep her the same. Add in a personality and voice for Chell, and you've got one of the best action movies ever made with a marketable as hell Portal Gun.

2.) The Last of us
This is not shocking that this ends up on my list since this is the best video game story naughty dog has ever had. What probably is shocking that I put this at number two and not number one. The Last of us has such great characters and has the best ending & beginning I've ever seen. I don't know if the middle part is worth leaving the beginning (Sarah) and the ending (the Ellie thing.) I think the middle is still good but it's not the best part of the game and the middle is where you will have to stretch out for the movie unless you add the left behind DLC in which is case you've got a golden movie on your hands.

1.) Bioshock

This has to be a game that has one of the best stories I've ever seen in a video game, and it's not just the twist in fact I think the twist itself works way better in a game then it would in a MOVIE platform. Yet the villain of Andrew Ryan and the story and themes, the themes especially of Bioshock are so great it is astounding they haven't made a movie out of this yet. I know their are talks of a TV show but I think it would work way better as a movie. (By the way I think Fallout would be great live action too but that one is more suited to be a TV show on HBO.) Just the scope of the visuals and the world two is way more in tune to be a movie and the sequel Bioshock Infinite (While I prefer the original) would make a great series.

Now that's my list later tonight... movie review.
