Weekend box office- Focus on the money

Another day and another time when I really should be studying for my Algebra two test but am too lazy to do so. So anyway two movies came out Lazarus experiment which I had only barely heard of other than it's a Jason Blum produce film (so it has a 25% chance of being good and a 75% chance of being bad), and Focus which I heard was ok.

Focus came in at number one but it still under performed. Initially it was coming in at $20 million and even I predicted it to do about $25 at the very least. It even under performed internationally about only $12 million coming behind The second best exotic marigold hotel (never saw the first but heard it's good.) This seems to be a case of both bad marketing, the marketing for this film made it look like shit and I think After Earth is having a bad effect on Will Smith's career despite still being a good actor and I think people are just starting to get sick of Will Smith in general which hopefully he can turn it around as he is a genuinely good actor.

Other films of significance are that Fifty shades of Grey got bounced to fourth place but it still made a shit ton of money so we are still getting Fifty shades Darker... whoopee.

Anyway everything in the weekend box office
