Yeah sorry this is coming a day late... again.... ok lets get this show on the road. Today is the start of New York comic con but no I am not covering this because I do not have the time as I have school plus debate and I have a competition coming up. Anyway nothing note-worthy is really coming out except for the Judge (which I hope to see.) Other than that their is Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day (I've read the book, how the heck to do you manage to make a 90-minute movie of that), and Dracula untold (can we go back to traditional Dracula?)
Here's my prediction:
The Judge
Weekend box office: $18-$25 million
Domestic box office: $45-$50 million
International box office: $ 70-$90 million
World wide box office: $ 135- $140 million
This seems more of a Oscar-bait movie then a make a lot of money movie. Still great cast and a return to dramatics for Downey J.R which gets me excited and so I am overall looking forward to it.
Alexander and the terrible, no good, very bad day
Weekend box office: $18-$23 million
Domestic box office: $ 30- $56 million
International box office: $ 35- $60 million
World wide box office: $ 65-$116 million
Really Hollywood were you this desperate? It's been a really long time since I read the book for this but even still I remember it being at most only twenty pages long, so how the heck do you convert this to a ninety-minute movie, I haven't seen the trailers for this so I don't know if it's just Alex or from the looks of it from the posters I've seen his family and him having the bad day. I also don't expect this to make a lot of money since while some people do like it, these childhood book adaptations don't have a good track record (I'm looking at you Judy Moody and the not bummer summer.)
Dracula Untold
Weekend box office: $ 15-$25 million
Domestic box office: $ 35-$50 million
International box office: $ 70-$95 million
World wide box office: $ 105- $ 145 million
This looks like the dumbest movie in the world and I feel bad for universal because this is supposed to be the start to their cinematic monster movie universe which they might want to rethink. I do expect however to see this movie make more money internationally than domestically though.
Weekend box office
1.) Gone Girl
2.) Annabelle
3.) The Judge
4.) Alexander and the terrible, no good, very bad day
5.) The Equalizer
6.) The Box trolls
7.) The Maze Runner
8.) Left behind
9.) This is where I leave you
10.) Dolphin Tale 2
That's my prediction for the weekend box office movie review and editorial tomorrow and for my editorial... Fantastic Four!
