Weekend box office prediction- turtles, tornados, tomatoes and, Twerking oh my!

The weekend is fast approaching and this week not one, not two but four movies are opening this weekend. The movies are into the storm (poor Richard Armitage), A one-hundred foot journey ( Helen Mirren is awesome as always), Step up all in (how is that franchise still alive) and Teenage mutant ninja turtles (Thanks for destroying my childhood again.)

The industry predictions are:
1.) Into the storm- $11 million
2.) One-hundred foot journey- $ 15 million
3.) Step it up all in- $ 10 million
4.) Teenage mutant ninja turtles- $ 39 million

But that's stuffy old (and probably correct) Hollywood's predictions, here is mine:

Into the storm
Opening weekend: $9- $12 million
Domestic box office: $15- $20 million
International box office: $ 30- $40 million
world wide box office: $ 45- $ 60 million

One hundred foot journey
Opening weekend: $10- $20 million
Domestic box office: $ 70- $ 90 million
International box office: $ 100- $120 million
World wide box office: $170- $210 million

Step it up all in
Opening weekend: $ 4.7- $ 9 million
Domestic box office: $15- $20 million
International box office: $11- $30 million
World wide box office: $26- $ 50 million

Teenage mutant ninja turtles
Opening weekend: $40 million- $ 60 million
Domestic box office: $ 110- $150 million
International box office: $220-$260 million
World wide box office: $330 - $410 million

Weekend box office top ten
1.) Guardians of the galaxy
2.) Teenage mutant ninja turtles
3.) Lucy
4.) One-hundred foot journey
5.) Get on up
6.) Dawn of the planet of the apes
7.) Into the storm
8.) Hercules
9.)Planes fire and rescue
10.) Step up all in

I love Helen Mirren, she is my favorite actress and a perpetual old lady badass but I still expect her movie to only do #4 at the very maximum. Into the storm looks like a B movie and a sharknado rip-off without the sharks and I just feel so sorry for Richard Armitage who is a very good if underrated actor. Step up I could give a damn about and expect it to barely make the top ten. I've had my child hood butchered before with Last air bender and expected it to be butchered with Teenage mutant ninja turtles with sounds terrible. I also expect it to do only # 2 because of how well guardians unexpectedly did and how it will probably have legs.

That's the weekend box office and tomorrow... some sort of editorial and no review because I am moving.
