Weekend box office- Hunger Games is the big winner and the big loser

This weekend Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1 came out to a big win but not the one everyone wanted. I and most of Hollywood predicted $155 million while in actuality it made $123 million which is awesome especially considering it beats out Transformers for the biggest opening of the year. In my opinion it was probably due to the stigma of part 1 and 2 movies (I loved the movie and even I said in my review it could have been easily condensed), Jennifer Lawrence burn out and not the best word of mouth of all the franchise. Well here's the rest of the box office.

Weekend box office
1.) The Hunger Games Mockingjay part 1: $123 million
2.) Big hero six: $20 million
3.) Interstellar: $15 million
4.) Dumb and Dumber To: $14 million
5.) Gone Girl: $2.8 million
6.) Beyond the lights: $2.6 million
7.) St. Vincent: $2.2 million
8.) Fury: $1.9 million
9.) Birdman: $1.8 million
10.) Theory of everything: $1.5 million

So that's the weekend box office and I'm glad to see Gone Girl, Big hero six, and St. Vincent are doing so well since I love all those movies. I haven't seen Birdman yet but I am glad Michael Keaton has a mini hit on his hands.
