Weekend box office~ The end of Summer

Well it's that time of year again the last week of Summer. More importantly the last two movies of Summer. The two last summer movies coming out this week are the Sinister 2 and America Ultra a Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart spy-stoner comedy movie. Currently because next week is the start of the new school year I will not be seeing a movie this weekend but rather preparing to for school this coming Monday but expect to see a review for Man from Uncle coming in it's place.

I have never seen the last Sinister film because I don't traditionally tend to watch horror movies that much. Yet the trailers for the film make it look good and not as jumped scared filled as it might appear to be. It will probably make a good amount of money since Horror movies are typically cheap to produce and their is always a fan base to go see these movies although to me they would probably make more money if they waited and released this in October in time for Halloween.

Now the other film American Ultra from the trailers alone the film doesn't look that interesting despite the premise, it actually just looks like your run of the mill stoner comedy with Spy movie elements it looks like it doesn't know what to do with. Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart acting wise look fine in it, while I don't like Kristen Stewart as a person too much you can't say she's a bad actress because she isn't, she just keeps getting stuck in bad movies.

   Anyway here's my prediction.

Sinister 2
Budget: N/A
Weekend box office:$15-$20 million
Domestic box office:$25-$30 million
International box office: $20-$25 million
World wide box office: $45-$55 million

Horror movies while do make a lot in comparison for what they cost to make but in terms of what movies normally make nowadays it's pretty small.

American Ultra
Budget: $12 million
Weekend box office: $10-$20 million
Domestic box office: $20-$25 million
International box office:$30-$40 million
World wide box office:  $50-$65 million

I expect this out of the two movies to be the one that sells the most since a lot more people like to laugh at a movie than be afraid at one and while I may not be interested other people might be and it pretty much cost nothing to make in Hollywood terms.

Weekend box office
1.) Straight outta Compton
2.) American Ultra
3.) Rouge nation
4.) Sinister 2
5.) The man from uncle
6.) Fantastic Four
7.) The Gift
8.) Ant-man
9.) Vacation
10.) Minions

That's my weekend box office prediction and hopefully I'll see you Friday or Saturday for some sort of new post (maybe.)
